Between November 8-9, 2017, the 4th edition of the Forum of Modern Production – Industry 4.0 took place at Sheraton Hotel in Warsaw, an event that responded to the constant need to adapt to the ever-changing market reality of manufacturing companies.
The block that started the dedicated section of the Modern Manufacturing Forum was about planning and optimizing production to increase efficiency. Participants could then listen to presentations on, among others. predictive maintenance or Autonomous Decision System. It then debated how to modernize production plants, more specifically about ways to raise funds for enterprise transformation, energy and media technology monitoring, and intelligent robotisation and automation in the Internet of Things era. The last panel of the conference focused on the digitization of production and the benefits of introducing the Internet of Things.
My speech took place in the panel on digitization of production and the benefits of the introduction of the Internet of Things industry, during which we discussed the following topics:
- Can Industry 4.0 and Internet of Things be just a temporary fashion and marketing slogan?
- What are the technical, process, human (mental) and security constraints when implementing IoT?
- How to effectively use cloud production data and what is the role of cloud computing in the industry
- How do customer needs and trends change for the next 2-3 years?
