Digitalization, technological advances, anticipation of changing digital consumer demands, innovative business models, regulatory changes and market unification drive the dynamic development of the FinTech industry, which has a broader impact on the current and future financial services market.

The enormous potential of this relatively young sector, in addition to creating a new value, also enlivens traditional players by stimulating them to better address the growing needs of modern consumers.

FinTech Digital Congress is a forum for the exchange of ideas and strategic partnerships by bringing together participants and creators of the rapidly growing FinTech industry including mature financial sector, start-ups and companies challenging traditional business models, investors and investment funds.

The autumn edition of the event gathered a lot of interest in presenting issues related to: e-commerce payments, customer redefinition, investment prospects in shaping the industry, presence of market standards, blockchain, and implementation of artificial intelligence in finance.

My speech took place in the panel on the development of blockchain technology, during which we talked about the following topics:

  • DLT? Blockchain? Smart Contracts? What is it really about?
  • Where are blockchain technologies already implemented?
  • Role of publicly available software in blockchain
  • Outside of finance – blockchain outside finance
